StorAmerica Teams with WebWorks, Unveils New Website

Westwood, KS, March 26, 2011 --(PR.com)-- StorAmerica Management president Sonny Vejar said his company’s website was in desperate need of an overhaul. After shopping around for a redesign, StorAmerica partnered with a new self storage marketing service called WebWorks and launched its new site this week.

WebWorks is a subsidiary of Red Nova Labs, the company that created StorageFront and Self Storage Marketing Ahead. The service was created to assist self storage companies with website design, sophisticated coding, content management, search engine optimization and web marketing consulting on an ongoing basis.

When StorAmerica Management, which is a subsidiary of Guardian Storage Centers, decided to update its website, the two were a perfect fit.

“The WebWorks’ team offered us constructive criticism in what we could do to make our site better. It made us take a second look at it,” Vejar said. “We started looking at some of our competitors—what their websites looked like and how the information flowed. We realized that our website was a little outdated, wasn’t as functional as it should be, and was certainly not mobile device friendly, which is important to us. So that’s really where it all started.”

Vejar added that the old website was difficult to navigate. Users would often get lost in the menus and sub-menus. WebWorks created a new layout based on a foundation of seven information categories, plus a location-finder similar to StorageFront’s.

“The new website is geared to engage and educate the user, in a fun and informative way,” Vejar said. “We made it more functional—not just for new customers, but also for our existing customers, who will have access to helpful online forms. We also added a new auction section to advertise our self storage auctions on a monthly basis.

Other additions to the website include Red Nova Labs’ popular space calculator, self storage tips for renters, and Google maps showing the StorAmerica facility locations. WebWorks also added a pay online function with API integration, which allows customers to pay on the StorAmerica site instead of going to a third-party site.

The improvements should help StorAmerica’s search engine visibility, i.e. improve its rank in Google listings.

“StorAmerica is a great brand with a good SEO start. Now, we’re taking them to the next level in terms of web presence,” said Tom Cox, WebWorks’ Web Visibility Manager. “We provide the latest SEO-friendly site architecture with the best ongoing SEO services that will get StorAmerica to the top in their markets.”

StorAmerica is also listed on StorageFront, and Vejar said the results his company has received from that listing gave instant credibility to the WebWorks’ service.

The fact that WebWorks does not charge for initial design services, and is continuously trying to improve the site’s SEO, was another big reason StorAmerica decided to go with the service, Vejar said.

“We’re happy about the partnership,” Vejar said. “We’re elated about the web design that has come to fruition. We’re excited about where we’re going to go from here and have really enjoyed working with the people there at Red Nova Labs. Good, talented, quality people.”
