Have you ever been fascinated when you see a tribal dragon tattoos or lower back tribal tattoos? Well, there seems be a countless numbers of tribal designs and all designs looks totally unique. There are tribal tattoos that are drawn out of animals, facial features and even some weird patterns that you've never seen before.

However, these tribal tattoo designs have one similarity. That is, all tribal tattoos are originated from one native tribe or another. And most of these designs was pass down from tribes in Australia, Polynesia islands or Native America. And usually, these designs have a meaning behind them.

For the Native American, the tribal tattoo designs is a symbol of the culture ideas and expressions. These tattoo designs are given to tribesmen or women as a form and symbol of blessing. Native American warriors also get these tattoos as they believe that these tattoos will protect them while they are hunting or when they are in a war. Different tattoo are also use to represent different status amongs the tribesmen or women.

Polynesian tribal tattoos comes from a deeper root and it is often bears a religious value or base upon myths and legends. It usually also revolves around a tribes superstitious or religious belief. And special tattoo designs are bestowed to warriors who had done something proud for the tribe. Because of this tattoo, the warrior also gains a special status within the tribe like the Native American.

When celebrating a special occasion like winning a war against another tribe, the Maoris will use a tattoo to commemorate the occasion. Likewise, when someone within the tribe shows qualities of courage or bravery, he or she will be rewarded as well with a tattoo by the chief.

Lastly, for the Hawaiians, different tattoos symbolizes different status in the tribe as well. And they too believe that the tattoo can help ward of bad spirits or aid them when in times of battle.

Although different tribal tattoos came from different cultures, the do have a bit of similarity in meaning still. And even though we are living in a much more advance world today, it is still interesting to know about these tattoo designs and what it symbolizes doesn't it?
