Howie, AJ and Nick - A Sure Fire Hit For The Backstreet Boys

By Patrick Daniels

The Backstreet Boys were put together back in 1993, by Lou Pearlman, when boy bands were all the rage and heard non stop on every radio station. Back then the band consisted of five talented members Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell, who stole the hearts of teenage girls. In 2006 Richardson had left the group, with the hopes up starting a family; however his fellow band members still believe that he will make a comeback debut sometime in the future.

Today, the Backstreet Boys have joined forces again, with the exception of Kevin Richardson, to put together their seventh studio album, "This Is Us". "This Is Us" is set for a European release on October 5th, from RCA Records and in the United States it will be released by Jive Records on the 6th of October. It has been said that this is the bands greatest album yet, and fans anxiously wait to see if the hype is true.

The Band wanted to regain the momentum that they had back into 1999, with the release of their album "Millennium". In order to successfully accomplish this they have teamed up with the producer of their top single, "I Want It That Way", Max Martin.

In addition to collaborating with Max Martin, The Backstreet Boys also recruited help from Red One, producer/songwriter. Red One was able to assist Lady Gag with her hit singles "Poker Face" and "Just Dance", so The Backstreet Boys wanted the same success. Therefore Red One worked with the band and produced the albums lead track, "Straight Through My Heart".

Over the last few years The Backstreet Boys have had many highs and lows. They all had their attempts at solo albums yet nothing was ever the same as when they were together as the all American boy band. It is said that "This Is Us" is the album that will get them back on the charts. I can hardly wait!
